Wonderful news, Rachel and I want to extend out delight and welcome Alex Percy extraordinary musician to the band and look forward to the new chapter of 8Sharp.

Welcome to the website of 8-sharp, a traditional Irish and Celtic music band based in Bournemouth, Dorset.
We are available for performing concerts, barn dances or ceilidhs at pubs, festivals, weddings, wakes or parties in Dorset, Hampshire, and Wiltshire including Poole, Wimborne, Ringwood, Salisbury, Southampton, and Weymouth.
We perform a range of Celtic music (both songs and tunes) from Irish and Scottish repertoire as well as Welsh and Cape Breton tunes. The band is mainly fiddles and guitar. The music can be fast and exciting - great for stomping your feet - or slow and relaxing - great for chilling between the stomping! We can provide our own PA for your event.
We play with passion and always have a great time. Our enthusiasm is infectious and guarantees a good time for all.
